چکیده

In 2004, at the Gravity, Geoid and Space Missions (ggsm04) conference in Porto, Portugal, a joint meeting of the International Association of Geodesy (IAG) Working Groups on Inverse Problems and Global Optimization and Satellite Gravity Theory took place. It was then recognized that gravity modelling from satellite, airborne and terrestrial data, and today’s application of gravity models in related disciplines had led to a blossoming of inverse theory, and that many promising developments and new techniques arise at the border between applied mathematics and geodetic theory.
